If you're charged with a DUI in Chelsea, Michigan you will face your charges at the 14A-3 District Court with Judge Conlin. From my experience, Judge Conlin is a very good judge who is fair to both sides.
Recently the Michigan State Police released some statistics of all the judges in Michigan, and Judge Conlin's DUI cases, sentences and outcomes were made available to the public.
In 2012, Judge Conlin's court had 49 Operating While Intoxicatedcases, 36 Operating While Impairedcases, 1 Zero Tolerance case and 5 Operating With the Presence of Drug cases. All but one of these cases ended up as a conviction. Make what you may of those numbers, but it's a strong indication that people who are charged in that court are being convicted.
