Today in Chelsea Michigan my client and I went to trial on a Super Drunk charge. The BAC was 0.18 with speeding as the reason for the traffic stop. Field sobriety tests were performed along with a PBT.
After careful consideration, my client was found not guilty of the Super Drunk charge, and instead found guilty of the lower charge, which was a huge benefit to my client. My client will save about $1,200, better driver's license sanctions, avoid an interlock device on his car and mandatory alcohol treatment for a year.
